Learn to weave civic skills and knowledge into any subject. This course provides practical strategies and powerful tools for embedding civic skills, dispositions, and knowledge across the curriculum. 

You will discover:

•  Essential elements for teaching any subject through a civics lens
•  To navigate and use the iCivics free product library
•  How civics can enhance educator priorities in inquiry, classroom culture, multilingual learning, and media literacy. 

Aligned with the SB 3 requirement to provide strategies for incorporating civics instruction into subject areas other than social studies

Explore strategies for observing and coaching educators on best practices in social studies and civics education. This self-guided course is relevant for instructional leaders, administrators, and teachers. 

You will:

•  Learn how to promote student ownership in civics and social studies.
